Hello, I’m Sarah.
I am a warm, friendly Pilates teacher with a deep sense of empathy and understanding , and a genuine passion for helping others improve their overall health and wellbeing. I believe movement is a powerful tool for lifelong vitality. Through the Pilates method, we can improve muscle tone, enhance posture, and build strength and mobility that supports us well into older age — enabling us to continue doing the things we love for as long as possible.
I understand that every body is unique and beautiful, and I truly believe that everyone deserves to live as pain-free a life as possible with a strong, capable body they can feel proud of.
I hold an Active IQ Level 3 Diploma in Pilates Matwork and have completed continued professional development in 'Pilates for Runners', 'Reverse the wear of sitting - fascia healing for full body relief', 'Pelvis reset for lower back pain, 'Revitalize and tone sleeping glutes, 'In depth Transverse Abdominis knowledge' and 'Understanding the hip'.
As a keen runner myself, I have first hand experience of how vital Pilates is for supporting running performance and recovery — as well as enhancing movement across all sports and physical activities. I have a strong understanding of movement principles and the science behind them, allowing me to support clients in recovering from injury, reducing pain, and moving with greater freedom and confidence.
One of the things I love most about Pilates is its accessibility. It truly is for EVERYONE — from elite athletes to complete beginners, from those recovering from serious injury to individuals living with conditions such as osteoporosis or arthritis. Pilates supports pregnant women, as well as pre- and post-menopausal women, and can be practised safely and effectively at any age. The benefits are endless, and I passionately believe that every body can benefit from Pilates.
My classes are thoughtfully designed for beginner and intermediate clients, with clear progressions offered for every exercise. These progressions are intended to motivate, challenge, and inspire — even for those who have been practising Pilates for many years.
My classes are warm, welcoming, and supportive, creating a genuine sense of community where like-minded people come together to show up for themselves and honour their bodies. Each session is a safe, inclusive space in which clients are encouraged to move with kindness, curiosity, and confidence, free from judgement or pressure. Together, we are not just exercising — we are investing in our future health, carving out a life with greater mobility, strength, and freedom of movement for years to come.
Pilates quite literally enables us to stand taller by counteracting the physical effects of modern life. As Joseph Pilates said, “Civilisation impairs physical fitness.” This rings especially true in today’s world, where many of us spend long hours sedentary and hunched over screens. As we age, sore hips, stiff spines, and tight shoulders become increasingly common. Pilates promotes body awareness and mindfulness, helping us move more efficiently and consciously in everyday life. Beyond improving core strength, muscle tone, and mobility, Pilates plays a vital role in supporting mental health and overall wellbeing.
I am incredibly proud and excited to share my love of Pilates. As Joseph Pilates once said, “The whole country, the whole world should be doing my exercises. They’d be happier.” Pilates has been shown to support those experiencing mental health challenges, helping to reduce stress, anxiety, and symptoms of depression.
Pilates is a complementary form of exercise that fosters a powerful connection between the mind and the body. Every Pilates journey is unique, and I encourage clients to remain open to both the mental and physical transformations that occur along the way.
Bring balance, strength, and confidence into your life through Pilates.
